Lora Linhares-Marx

Child & Adolescent Psychotherapist
Availability upon request

Lora is a BACP-registered child and adolescent psychotherapist and a registered mental health nurse specialising in children’s and family services. With over twelve years of experience supporting young people and their families, she has worked across the NHS, inpatient and community settings, and the charity sector.

Her practice is rooted in psychodynamic psychotherapy — an approach that explores how early experiences, relationships, and the inner emotional world shape a young person’s wellbeing. Lora is trauma-informed, neurodivergent-affirming, and experienced in working systemically with families and school networks. Alongside this, she draws on CBT-based strategies, breathwork, and mindfulness, adapting her approach to what each young person needs.

Lora works with children and young people from birth to eighteen. For younger children, sessions are woven together with parenting support and guidance. She brings genuine warmth and creativity to her work — using play, movement, and expressive activities to meet young people where they are.

She has a particular passion for supporting children and young people with neurodivergent profiles, whether pre or post diagnosis.

In addition to one-to-one therapy, Lora is available for clinical consultations and collaborative treatment planning for young people.
