Psychodynamic-informed parent work offers a space for parents to think about and understand their child’s behaviour and emotional world, with professional support.
Rather than focusing on strategies alone, this approach helps parents make sense of what may be underlying their child’s behaviour. It considers the child’s developmental stage, emotional needs, and relational patterns, as well as the parent’s own experience.
This can be particularly helpful when things feel stuck, overwhelming, or confusing, and where standard parenting advice does not seem to fit.
Parent work can take place alongside a child’s therapy or as a standalone support.
